April-November are all pretty decent around Cleveland. Especially May-September and part of October. November is unpredictable, but usually not that bad. April is usually pretty warm by the middle of the month. Definitely not perfect weather, but there are a lot of nice months in there.

December-March is pretty bad most the time but there are some days or weeks that arent too bad. For example its March right now and it was 70 degrees yesterday, and is 70 degrees again today. Then there was that January not too long ago where we had temperatures in the 60s+ for most of the month. December is in the middle, more unpredictable. March is not too bad except the beginning. January and February are the ones I have problems with most the time. Other than that its not that bad IMO. Could be sunnier in the winter though.

Actually it is something like that.

"Cleveland's Playhouse Square is the nation's second largest theater district (behind New York's Broadway) in number of productions annually. Down the road, the Cleveland Playhouse is the nation's oldest regional theater and still a mecca for new talent as well as experienced theater professionals." - Events for Cleveland Theater Fans

Its the highest concentration of Theaters in a square mile outside of NYCs broadway.

Doesnt exactly mean Cleveland the 2nd best city for theater, but something like that.

Well I guess it's all relative. Portland is overcast and gloomy most of the time. People often move because of SADD. I for one do not care for sunny skies all the time. I would hate to live in a place that had more sun than not. I love winter. I don't mind the snow. I would hope to live close enough to work so that transportation won't be too much of a problem wherever I move. I have dealt with severe Chicago winters so I know what they can be like.

Regarding the cost of living. Yes Cleveland is less than Portland. Also since so many people want to move here and there are so few jobs, employers take advantage and pay very low wages. For example my company had 10 openings because they closed down an office in another city and are moving the work here. The first day they received 400 plus applications. That is pretty typical. So wages are pretty low because for some reason people will work for peanuts just to have the privilege of living here.

I don't really want to knock where I am coming from. I just would hope I would be happy wherever I move. One thing I like about Cleveland is that whenever I have come on this forum or any other Cleveland forum there are always people who are really helpful and friendly. I don't find this on most other forums on which I have posted my questions.

jcoffy is on a distinguished road
when most of you bashing Cleveland. What do you think? You who bashing you think you do great for the city. This is stupid and you know something if you do not like the city there are so many options and I think the best one is get out of here. hopefully your decision will help people to see thing in a new way because i'm tired any time I go to the forum it is always the same stupid people who has nothing positive to say about the city. When you have a wife you do not feel comfortable with her you end up to divorce. You les nay-sayers who doe not have nothing to tell give the city a chance because your message becomes a poison to people who would like to move to Cleveland for whatever the reason. Personally, I'm not a Clevander but I love the city why you keep put the city down when there are darkness everywhere. I do not say Cleveland is a perfect place but we can rebuilt the city by elect the right people to do the job. This city is not the only one in bad shape, I remember 20 years ago Montreal, QC Canada was a nice city, clean and beautiful??? What happen now??/

Something like what exactly? Worlds oldest advertising ploy where tooting your own horn and stretching the truth might get you a few more visitors?

Apparently, Detroit and Houston have the same claims.

Why don't you move your ______ (as you so eloquently implied) to Cleveland and get what you've been itching for already.

As you can see, differences of opinion are not received well in Cleveland, as illustrated by many posters on many threads.

I'm sure you would rather read posts that paint Cleveland in pretty colors then learn about Cleveland's reality. Every city has pluses and minuses.
Go ahead focus on half the package. You'll get the other half when you get there.
