We do get a lot of snow. The east side burbs are much better at clearing quickly than the "country" (Geauga County and beyond to the east) Close to Cleveland Clinic and UH, maybe University Heights, Shaker Heights, Mayfield Heights, Cleveland Heights. Most all of the burbs are safe for the most part. In Shaker, you most likely want to stay away from the southeast border. There are patchy areas in Cleveland Heights as well. University Heights, near John Carroll is pretty safe. All of these areas will have condos, and even nice rentals if you need to until you decide.

Thanx for the suggestions. I saw these townhouses advertised in Highland Ridge in Richmond Heights - is that close to CCF and a safe area - in terms of traveling to & fro CCF at maybe late hours?

I am not that familiar with Richmond Heights. It isn't one of my favorite areas. Are you going to be going to the main location? Are you planning on driving or taking public transportation? I'd say Richmond Heights is generally safe. There are parts of East Cleveland that are not so good late at night. However, the good thing about the entire area, is that it's laid out for multiple routes to every location. You can always avoid an area if you need to. I'm sticking to my original locations I sent. However, Highland Heights and Richmond Heights are affordable. Not as desireable though.

Check out Tremont and Ohio City. Great districts of the city, can find reasonably priced houses/condos, and close to a lot of entertainment.
