Default Moving to Cleveland

Hello-

I am moving to Cleveland in June and looking for an area to live. I'll be renting and I'd like to be close to Cleveland Clinic and in an area with other young professionals (I'm in my mid 20s). I've heard good things about the proximity of Cleveland Heights, but don't know much else. Any information will help me greatly!

Thanks!

Cleveland Heights is very close to the Clinic and a great area for young professionals. It has some cool areas. You can check them out at www.coventryvillage.org and www.cedarfairmount.com. It also has many apartments and rentals for a reasonable price. Some other areas with lots of young professionals you may want to check out are Little Italy which is also right next to the Clinic and the Warehouse District downtown. Both are quite active little neighborhoods and have lots of restaurants/bars.

Judging by your criteria I would also recommend Cleveland Heights. Close by is Coventry and Little Italy.

Another great neighborhood to keep in mind is the Shaker Square area -- lots of great restaurants, a farmers market, and shops all within walking distance. It is Rapid (metro/train public transportation, if you aren't familiar) accessible. If you drove, it is less than a 10 minute drive to the Clinic. In fact, my officemate is getting ready to put her apt (at Shaker Square) on the market for rent. It is a great place. If I didn't have 3 kids I'd move in in a second! If you are interested, send me a message!
Best of luck with your search. All the suggestions given are great places, especially for a young professional working at/near the Clinic.

I agree with the previous post. That is the area that you would want to stay at. Dining, bars, transportation. It's a trendy area, where you can walk to all the ammenties.
