Don't most people just scatter it around their yard?

I wouldn't recommend Brunswick!
Brunswick just passed a huge tax hike, so taxes are going up! Also Brunswick lacks safety forces and recently didn't rank well in safety by a major magazine! Brunswick also has daycare centers next to adult oriented businesses, which I don't think is very friendly! Also although the schools in Brunswick have improved, they are still not as good as districts like Strongsville, Westlake, and North Royalton! People have moved to Brunswick thinking they are getting a bargain, but in realty their not!
I wouldn't recommend Brunswick!!!

OMG really? Really?!
Are you talking about Kindercare that is across and down the street from Christy's on Pearl Rd? The one place?
What - are the kids going to somehow get out of the daycare building, walk across the street and gravitate towards the gentlemans' club? Not likely. At all.
It's not like Christy's employees walk out onto Pearl Rd and start stripping and flashing their boobs. Give me a break.
No offense, but were you one of those people that stood outside (what used to be called Tiffany's) and hold your sign up about how the business shouldnt set up shop there? You might have left your bible there - you should check.
Granted, I know of no one that works in that part of the 'entertainment' industry, but I do know well enough that there is no way that infants and even slightly older kids know what that place is.
Having worked in media, I also know that magazines should not be your most trusted source for information. And you are only quoting one. I can pretty much guarantee that B-wick is a safe place to live.
I'll get back to you on tax information

I just reviewed tax records of several homes we are looking at in Brunswick City. This is for an home about 1700 sq. foot. All of them are coming in around $2800 on average per year. This is not high at all. It is still lower than Strongsville, Westlake, and N.ROyalton.
These taxes are same as North Ridgeville. N.Ridgeville schools are average at best and lacks your basic stores like Walmart/target/ applebees/ etc.
Brunswick so far is it.

Brunswick taxes might be a little cheaper, but what are you getting for your money? Brunswick does have a serious lack of safety forces with both police and fire. Look at the fire/ems protection with only two stations and two EMS units. When both of the Brunswick EMS units are out on call, they are unable to respond to additional calls! This was reported several times by the local paper and by the city itself! So Brunswick has to rely on mutual aid to respond to additional calls! So if your having a heart attack, you can kiss your butt goodbye, because you would be brain dead by the time they arrived!
As for the adult oriented businesses in Brunswick, they are located right next to daycare centers, not across the street from them! I personally wouldn't want my kids anywhere near adult oriented businesses, and this is not something little kids should be exposed to! Not only that, think of the kind of people these places attract!
As for the magazine I quoted, this is the magazine that rates the suburbs every year, and is a reliable source. The magazine uses the actual crime data from each city to come up with the rankings! Out of every other city in Northeast Ohio, this year Brunswick was raked 41th in safety. In comparison Strongsville was ranked 12th, and North Royalton 27th! This is based on the real world crime data!
Oh, and good luck finding a Target, or a Walmart in Brunswick, because Brunswick doesn't have either of these stores! The only city on your list that does is Strongsville!

Strongsville would be my choice!!!!
Beautiful City, highly rated schools, excellent services, best in region safety forces, higher resale values, lower insurance premiums, very affordable existing homes, great local restaurants and shopping, affordable taxes, and a growing city!
Strongsville has a world class recreation center, highly rated aquatic center, community playground, 9 city parks, 2,500 acres of Metroparks, an outdoor amphitheater, new performing arts center, indoor ice skating arena, senior center, baseball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, football stadium, new library, and lots more, too much to list everything!
Also Strongsville has many events throughout the year including the Farmers Market, Concerts on the Commons, The Rib Burn Off, Homecoming Parade and Carnival, Awesome 4th of July Fireworks, Winter Wonderland, Pancake Breakfast on the Bridge, and lots more...

We will be living on border of Strongsville and shopping at Walmart/Target there, while paying alot less property taxes in Brunswick.
Strongsville home prices and taxes are alot higher. If we had $$$, sure strongsville would be choice. But those on lesser budget might want to live right near it to avoid the extra costs.

New home prices in Strongsville might be higher, but existing homes are very affordable. You can get a nice 3 bedroom, two bath condo for around $130,000 in Strongsville with taxes around $2,500.00.
Also for a single family 3 bed, 3 bath, 1,700 sq. ft house, it is $134,000 in Strongsville, with taxes at $2,464. Very affordable, and you get better services, higher safety, better schools, lower insurance premiums, and higher resale value!!!!

This is about Houses, not condos. Huge difference. I hate CONDOS. I want a HOUSE.. not a CONDO.. My point proven. I dont care about CONDOS. Lets talk regular HOMES, with a front yard, back yard and where a wall is not shared, and a shed. . If I want a condo, Ill rent in an apartment. None exist in Strongsville. Next...

I don't believe they allow links on here, but you can look it up yourself since you don't believe me! Unlike other people, I do the research before I post and I know what I'm talking about! Both houses are for sale on the Howard Hanna website as well as many others around that price range in Strongsville!
The condo I listed in Strongsville is MLS number 3036564, $129,000, 3 bed, 2 bath, 2 car garage, taxes $2,423.00
The singe family house I listed in Strongsville is MLS number 3029806, $134,900, 3bed, 3 bath, nearly 1,700 sq. ft, 2 car garage, taxes $2,464.00. This one is a house, with a front yard, etc.
Look it up for yourself, or you can do a search and see all of the affordable existing homes, not condos, that are available for sale in Strongsville!
