Its a dump. 1930 house. No, I am not into buying 80 YR OLD homes. And yes, links are allowed. Do your research, Junior.
I rather pitch a tent. Waiting for an example of a house built in the year 2000. Is that possible?

It doesn't look like a dump to me! Good size lot, large rooms, huge 30 x 14 master suite with master bath, 2 car garage. It looks like a pretty nice house for the money to me! Just because it is a older house, doesn't mean that its a dump! Old houses have a lot of character that you just don't find in new homes! What do you want for 134,900? Your not going to find a like new house with three bedrooms and two baths anywhere for 134,900. Not in Brunswick, or Strongsville!
Bottom line, the existing homes are affordable in Strongsville!!!

Hey 'todd' - do you see the pretentious route that 'green' is taking?
That is the BS you get in Strongsville.
Besides, why would you want to live in Strongsville, when you can just drive over and then leave?? I'll give you that it's safe there but it gets annoying when everyone from that GD city acts like they live in Beachwood or Hudson. Strongsville is not a high-class city.
I'll be the first one supporting B-wick, but if that isn't where you want to live, 'todd', then that is your decision. I'm more than glad to give you any information you need in order to answer your questions but I am not about to bully you into choosing one neighborhood or the other.
As for 'green' - thinking that no one else does their homework on this site - terribly wrong.
You are also high if you think that Brunswick is some crime-ridden community. Oh, and cry baby duck because B-wick doesn't have a Target or Walmart. Drive 10 minutes down the road to Medina or S**tville and you can have your white-trash Walmart. Marketing lesson - Target and Walmart arent going to put their stores in Brunswick if they are already in both neighboring cities.
Stay in Strongsville, 'green' - that's clearly where you belong.
That link with the house isnt that bad - its kind of cute. But, if thats not what you want, then it isnt.

I agree. Also, schools are ranked higher in brunswick too according to this site
http://www.schooldigger.com/go/OH/search.aspx
Click tab 'by city' and put in strongsville and brunswick
Strongsville ranks 158th
Brunswick ranks 134th
All the homes I see in strongsville, taxes average $4500 and more. Brunswick, about $3000 and less. The outrageous taxes in Strongsville, higher home prices, the lesser quality schools is all bad signs to me.

I attended Brunswick City Schools from kindergarten on up through high school. I turned out pretty well and I don't think that I was ever shorted on education in any way. Got really good grades and always felt comfortable and safe as a child in elementary, middle and high school.
I do have to say that Applewood Elementary can get a bad rap altho I'm not too keen on it. Low test scores I believe? I just know that that school was always not held in the highest regard. There are a slew of elementary schools in B-wick, though, so I don't think there would be a problem.

Let's not forget the tax prices Green is quoting are for half a year. So you are talking mroe like $5,000/year.
Personally I love old homes. My 1925 is in pristine condition and much nicer then many newer homes I have been in.

I hate to tell you, but everything I posted was researched, I didn't just make this stuff up! There was nothing pretentious about any of it. The post asked whats the best place to live, Strongsville, Brunswick, or North Royalton! After doing the research, my opinion is Strongsville. Strongsville is nicer anyway you look at! You might not like the factual data that I found Citygrrl, but after doing the research I would pick Strongsville, over Brunswick any day!!
Now as for the schools being better in Brunswick, based on some website, this is a bunch of crap! If you do the research, Strongsville schools have been consistently rated excellent for the past 7 years. Brunswick schools only have been rated excellent for the past three! Strongsvilles test scores have consistently been ranked one of the highest in the state! Would you want over 7 years experience, or only three years experience?
As for the taxes, I looked up homes in Brunswick in the 130's price range. According to the Howard Hanna website, the taxes in Brunswick are not much different then Strongsville, actually higher in some cases! So I don't know where your getting your figures Todd! I think the tax figures your looking at are for a half, not for the full year!! Here is a comparison!!!
Brunswick, $136,900, 3 Bed/ 1 Bath/ Taxes $2,507, MLS 3029891
Brunswick, $134,000, 3 Bed/ 2 Bath/ Taxes $2,555, MLS 3046545
Brunswick, $139,900, 3 Bed/ 2 Bath/ Taxes $2,664, MLS 3043061
Strongsville $134,900, 3 Bed/3 Bath/ Taxes $2,464, MLS 3029806
Strongsville $138,000, 3 Bed/ 2 Bath/ Taxes $2,256, MLS 3035146
Strongsville $139,900, 3 Bed 1 1/2Bath, Taxes $2,539, MLS 3003301

You are blowing smoke up everyones you know what here..
All 3 of your homes you picked out in Strongsville are dumps. Ofcourse the taxes will be low because they are older than dirt and one is even a condo.
Shocking how you provide no links to school ratings (I did) and still have yet to provide examples of HOMES built in this century. Hiding something are we?
MLS# 3035146
CONDO! This is a condo again!
MLS# 3029806
1930 Built. Taxes will be lower for this relic
MLS# 3003301
1959 Built. Ranch..another old and small relic.
