There is nothing to hide, I already posted my response to homes built in this century! There are none in Brunswick or Strongsville for 134,000! I picked these houses at random on the Howard Hanna website. The taxes weren't higher in Strongsville like you said, or the home prices. What do you want for 134,000? Your expectations are totally unreasonable and you are doing nothing but nitpick. You want to see some dumps, then look at the houses in Brunswick! Maybe you would be happier in a nice cozy chicken coop in Brunswick!

You could also move to Lakewood, where you're less likely to have petty egomaniacs as neighbors.

High Horses in Strongsville
Alright - here's a test, green ... since you're so knowledgable on every little thing ... give everyone ten good things Brunswick has and ten bad things about your beloved Strongsville (I noticed how you managed to leave those out of your little 'factual' postings)....
Your "stats" aren't pretentious - it's your attitude. Just like the rest of the people in Strongsville. That was my point.
Oh, and while you are researching the little homework project above, go ahead and research where all those "adult-oriented businesses" are in Brunswick.
Here, wait, I'll do it for you
Christie's Cabaret is on Pearl Rd. (1246 Pearl Rd., Brunswick, OH 44212). Right next to it is the Simply Explicit Adult Boutique. They are both housed in one free-standing building - along with a Deck Connections store (not sure how that worked out lol). On the right are old apartments. On the left is part of the parking lot and then older apartments again. If you stand in the Christies parking lot looking out at Pearl Rd., the business (from right to left) go as follows - keep in mind that this is ACROSS THE STREET from Christie's:
~A chinese restaurant
~A custard shop
~KFC
~Circle K gas station
~KinderCare <---this is the day care center you so adamantly insist is "right next door"
~An establishment that sells ATVs, dune buggies and motorcycles
*If you don't believe me, then Google the address and StreetView it. I will go as far as to take current pictures and post them on this site if you don't believe Google Streetview.
This is the only Gentleman's Club in B-wick and like I said before, I highly doubt kids are going to walk out of a day care, across a busy street and into a strip joint. And the only way they will know what that place is, is if their bible-thumping parents open up their mouths and make a huge deal out of it. Even if you told them, they probably wouldnt understand anyway. Additionally, as I have said before, it's not like the 'entertainers' stand outside and parade around at all - let alone naked. Gentlemans clubs dont have sidewalk sales or artfests.
If it is such an issue, there are several other day care facilities in Brunswick that you could go to instead.
I disagree with Strongsville having the best shopping in the region btw. If we are talking about the entire Cleveland/Akron/Canton DMA, then Beachwood/Lyndhurst wins and Fairlawn blows Strongsville out of the water any day.

I think it's more of an issue of Strongsville people being holier-than-thou and skewing everything so their town looks perfect and everywhere else sucks.
I agree about Lakewood - super cool place!

10 Good things about Brunswick
1) It is Close to Strongsville shopping and restaurants
2) Old Fashioned Days Celebration
3) Close to Hinckley park, which is a very nice park by the way!
4) Schools have improved some what
5) There is a dog park
6) affordable homes
7) Dunkin Donuts
8) Dollar General Market, only one in the area
9) Winking Lizard
10) Getgo Gas Station at Giant Eagle, got to love the fuel perks
10 Bad things about Strongsville
1) The false image that some people have of Strongsville, of being better then everyone else
2) New Construction sometimes causes traffic problems, like the widening of South Pearl Rd., this is going to be a mess!
3) Motels/ North End, which is currently being re-developed, thank god!!!
4) Communication needs improved
5) Farmers Market not until August this year, whats up with that?
6) Too much retail
7) No outdoor water park, only an indoor one
8) No dog park
9) No Dunkin Donuts, although one is coming soon
10) No Getgo at the Strongsville Giant Eagle
So as you can see, I have honored your challenge Citygrrl. I have lived in Brunswick and I know the pros and cons of Brunswick. My intentions are not to bash other cities while putting Strongsville on a pedestal. I just want people to know that Strongsville is a really nice place to live, thats all! No city is perfect, not Strongsville, nor Brunswick, or any other city for that matter! But, given a choice, I would choose Strongsville, because it is such a nice place to live!

My wife grew up in Strongsville and liked it but now she prefers the (newer) housing stock in North Royalton better. I think Strongsville has a nice little city center/town center area which I preferred over North Royalton, but that's just me.
I know zero about Brunswick but my wife disdains it and calls it "Brunstucky"...sounds like silly inter-city rivalry stuff to me.

Move to North Royalton. It has great views of Strongsville, Hinckley and Brunswick from city hall. You can see Lake Erie and Downtown from Ridge Road and Wallings Road. It's not all commercialized. Everything you need is within 10 minutes.
Brunswick and Strongsville are nice too. Depends on personal preference.

I lived in North Royalton for seven years and my mother has lived in Strongsville for six years. North Royalton is a fantastic place to live and I highly recommend it. It would be my top choice out of the three. Good points: wonderful schools with great extras, wonderful park, great homes, lots and lots of trees... Bad points: it's not that close to highways and is somewhat lacking in restrurants and stores. Strongsville is also great, but it would be my second choice out of the three. The traffic tends to be worse because of the mall and the highway, but it has lots of amenities. The schools are very good also. Brunswick used to have sort of a hick rep. and used to have more farms, but it's really been developed over the past few years and it's schools are now supposedly on par with Strongsville and Royalton. It's a beautiful place also. I don't know too much about resturants, etc, there in general, but I do suggest eating at the Apple Orchard (I think that's the name) on Pearl rd., good food and an amazing view!! I'm not a homeowner, but I think property tax is fairly high in all three.
