Strongsville, North Royalton or Brunswick?
My wife an I are looking to move to this part of the city. We are first time home buyers and looking for a single family home (build or existing). We'll be starting a family pretty soon. Our basic criteria is we want something that's a good value for the money spent in a safe and growing community.
Any info. about these areas or any others around them would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi, I am looking for some same info on these areas. I see no one answered, have you guys figured anything out? We are relocating from out of state and really keep going back to Brunswick as being our best choice, but would love more info.

Many of these communities have been staying about the same in population for some years now and home values have depreciated a bit for almost 2 years. My neighbors house has been on the market for 18 months.

All of these communities are safe and are close to many stores and restaurants, primarily located in Strongsville. The south side of Cleveland has grew alot in the 1980s and 1990s and by 2000s, the populations of these cities began to level off. Right now is good time to find a decent deal on a home in this area, but home prices will continue to drop for the next few years. Maybe you should rent for a while and then see how things change ?

All 3 areas are more than sufficient altho you will have quite a few Brunswick haters milling around on here.
I swear Brunswick puts up a new housing development every month I go back to visit lol!
The elementary schools are great - I recommend Hickory Ridge. There are 2 middle schools (Willetts and Edwards). Brunswick High School has a student body of about 2,200.
The Police Department does a good job Brunswick, as a whole, is a safe place to live.
I grew up there, my family still lives there and I go back all the time. I wouldnt have wanted to grow up anywhere else.
Strongsville and NoRo (North Royalton) are also good pics altho I cannot give you details about them as I would Brunswick. But having lived in the area so long, I would say those are good places as well.

Strongsville and North Royalton are right next to each other, and very similar. Both are pretty safe and established areas, pretty sterotypical of middle to upper middle class mid western lifestyles.

Strongsville would be my choice. It is a wonderful area with tons to do and a good school district.

You guys do not mention taxes. Property taxes in N.Royalton and Strongsville are ALOT higher than brunswick. Cuyahoga county is so corrupt, taxes need to be high to pay off those politicians. We are moving out of cuyahoga county and most probably into Brunswick due to the good schools at a reasonable price.

Actually, North Royalton's property taxes are nearly identical to Brunswick Twp.'s, and only slightly higher than Brunswick's. Furthermore, North Royalton's property tax rate has actually gone down in the last 3 years, whereas Brunswick Twp.'s and Brunswick's have both gone up quite a bit. The property tax rate has more to do with what services you get from the community (schools, libraries, etc.) than how much the county takes (which is a small portion of property taxes).

In Brunswick you also have to pay seperately for trash pickup, which you do not have to do in Cuyahoga County.
