I'm an old sports better, and the odds were definitely never 600 to 1 on a single game, regardless of how favored someone is. Typically, they would look like this:
Cleveland -105
Orlando
This line would mean that Cleveland is favored slightly, so you would have to put up $105.00 to win $100.00. Or, if you chose Orlando, you would put up $100.00 to win $105.00.
Now, what she may have been talking about was little side-bets that go in before and during a game or series and maybe there was something to do with his shot? I have no idea. I typically stayed away from things like that, though one time in college, I was such a gambling addict that I actually bet money on a Monday Night Football game's coin-flip.

Orlando has hit their shots, Cavs haven't, really it's amazing that the games have been as close as they are. Orlando hits 17 threes, Howard dominates down low, yet the Cavs still find a way to get it to OT and have a shot to win it at the end. Lebron has to have his role players step up and help, and while they did in the 1st half, they all went AWOL in the 2nd half except for Delonte West. Think the Cavs will win tomorrow, but Orlando will likely wrap it up in game 6.

Orlando has gotten everything to bounce their way. Incredible luck. It can't continue into the Finals. They won't win the title this year.

Orlando just has Cleveland's ticket, what can I say? Your record against us was 1-2 in the regular season and now that trend has continued in the postseason. We're now up 3-1 on you guys in the series. Luck? I could call Lebron's 1-second-left 3-pointer in Game 2 as luck, and if he hadn't hit that 1 shot at the buzzer, last night's win would have been a SWEEP. The Cavs rely completely on Lebron to carry the team and it works very well against other teams, but you just don't match up against the Magic.

Sounds exactly like how the Magic depend solely on Dwight Howard. If Lebron's other guys (Mo Williams, Varejo, "Z", Delonte) would step up, Orlando would be out planning their vacation right now. Mo Williams is doing terrible, and sometimes I wonder how he became an All-Star. Other than that, its interesting to see "Disney's" team doing well. I mean thats all Orlando has to look forward to.

I agree, it's not been luck, it's been the Magic hitting their shots while the Cavs just aren't. The only reason I hold any iota of hope is that as good as Orlando is shooting, they are streaky, and they could go into a slump. Since they rely on it, they can easily lose a couple in a row, but I don't see the Cavaliers winning 3 straight based on the first 4 games.

Of course it's luck when a team is shooting 5-10% better from the outside than they have done all season. The Magic have played well, but they're playing a bit above their level.

I would agree w/you if the majority of the 3's they've been taking weren't wide open. The Cavs cannot defend their pick and roll offense...sure, there were a couple of 'lucky' shots like Alston banking in a 3 w/Lebron right in his face, but all in all, a lot of the 5-10% increase can be attributed to the Cavs defense or lack there of on getting in the faces of the Orlando shooters.
