July and August are the worst for the hot humid weather and mosquitoes. June is sometimes bad and on to September sometimes as well.

Its not nearly as bad as a lot of areas to the south. It seems like there are better years and worse years for it though. Theres a lot of nights that you wont be able to stay outside long without getting bit up pretty bad. Thats what bug spray is for though.

Just scared her a tad.
Now I gotta get her over the horrible tales of humidity in summer and mosquitos that carry small children away......
I lived in snow belt and trusdt me winters are a drag and tooo long. Everyone complains come January. Quite often Spring comes and all you get is rain. I've been short changed on summer..I remember one summer you could judge what day it was by the weather...must be the weekend because it's raining. It litterally rain most of the weekends that Summer. I was in Cleveland about 5 weeks ago on a Monday and it had been rain for almost 2 wks straight and I heard the Cleveland weatherman say 'good news, we should see the rain end and see the sun on Friday'...holy crap. Fall is best season as far as I am concerned and could care less to the 'oh, I just love the 4 season' crowd. Fortunately I decided to do something about it and move to the Carolinas, couldn't be happier.

The Carolina Board of Propaganda has its folks trolling the Ohio forums yet again!

a) It never rained two weeks straight here.

b) It doesn't rain every weekend during the summer here.

c) It's only a matter of time before another hurricane devastates a large chunk of your states. While you're waiting, enjoy the upcoming three months of constant muggy, humid weather with averages in the mid-90s. What, you say you've got air-conditioning? Good, stay indoors and start looking on the internet for your next job now that Wachovia is gone and Bank of America is next.

I actually do business in CLE, have family interests as well

Mid April '09...oh maybe it was only 14 days.

b) It doesn't rain every weekend during the summer here. I lived it, around the year 2000 Summer, had a lake property, only got a couple weekends boating on lake that Summer. I believe I said it rained most weekends that Summer.

Been happily employed by same company for > 25 yrs. that allows me flexibility in where I live. Actually most my business is done up north but I decided you only live once and quality of life is important to me and prefer abundance of sunny days over clouds.

^^ You are blowing things way out of proportion. Everything you said is simply not true. Just leave these boards, you never have anything positive to say.. whatever your 'hidden agenda' is.

Thought I was prepped for the winters back there, now this......or is it a line of bs?
Whoever you talked to must live in a heavy snow area/the snow belt. There might be a weekend or two in the winter where you may not be able to get around, but generally no one I know hibernates. There is a lot to do in the area - even in the winter.

Every post that character makes on these Ohio forums turns into a commentary on how great Charlotte is and how bad Ohio is. This constant need to reinforce the decision to move smacks of insecurity.

Of course most of your business is done in the North, you're a recruiter for the Carolina Board of Propaganda, Tourism, and Relocation. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the city/state is feeling a bit nervous about the recent downturn in the economy. But that doesn't mean that you should lie to the people about the weather.

How about the fact that today is the first day we have gotten a drop of rain in over 2 weeks, and it was still sunny 90% of the day. It's been tough to keep the grass green with all these 78 and sunny days.

Let's get it out there: Charlotte has more annual rainfall than Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati.

Best move I ever made was deciding not to move to North Carolina.
