Rocky River Things to Do
Hi everyone...new to Rocky River and Cleveland in general. Wondering what there is to do?
Shopping?
Restaurants?
Recreation/Parks?
Movie Theaters/Attractions?
Bars?
What are some things all over the Cleveland region that someone new to the city should see as well?
Thanks!

The Cleveland Metro Parks border Rocky River to the east.. which has lots to do with trails, golf courses, etc. There is also a park on the Lake, called Rocky River Park maybe? It has a small beach and great views. Some good restaurants in the area are Bucci's, Sweet Melissa's, Rocky River Brewing Co., The Pub(last 2 are bars as well), Salmon Daves, King Wah, Bearden's (same menu since 1920 I believe), Danny Boy's Pizza, etc. There are a few good bars in Rocky River, but seconds way in Lakewood you will find 100 or so, many within walking distance - and a fair share of cabs frequent the area and are relatively cheap to Rocky River. Melts and Panini's in Lakewood are great eateries and bars as well. I believe Rocky River has a movie theatre in Center Ridge called Westwood. There is also a good theatre close by in Westlake at Crocker Park (which also has nice dining, retail, and bars). There is also shopping on Center Ridge at the new Westgate.
If you want things in Cleveland, Rocky River is just a few miles away and a short drive. I would suggest checking out Cedar Point, about an hour west if you enjoy amusement parks as it's one of the best in the world. Football HOF in Canton is pretty neat. There's also the Rock N Roll HOF which if you have to check out. The Westside Market is a must see and is really cool. Also, just east of Rocky River there are some great varieties of ethnic foods anything from Puerto Rican to Arabic cuisine.
What things are you into? There are art galleries, museums, etc. What kind of bar are you looking for and what age range as they all differ?

I am generally looking for stuff to do. Some of the things I enjoy are parks, outdoor activities, movies, shopping, crafts and plays and musicals.

This weekend, a few miles east of you, is the Clifton Arts Festival, Saturday the 20th, on Clifton Boulevard between W. 117th and W. 110th. It's outside and has crafts and art to shop for, meeting 3 of your requirements.
Seconding the recommendation for the Beck Center in Lakewood (Evil Dead-the Musical is currently held over there until the end of July). Also, check out the suburb to the west of you, Bay Village, for BAYarts, which also does theatre, art, and crafts.

Just ate at Bucci's on Hilliard this past week. I think that's River, isn't it?
I haven't been there in 15 years and went back on a whim. I forgot how awesome it is. Absolutely a contender for best red sauce in the region!
RECOMMEND!

Welcome to Max's Deli

Sweet Melissa's took over Max's Deli in the Detroit location. It's actually better in my opinion.

It is one of my favorite Italians eateries in Cleveland. The Bucci's in Berea is good too.

Stino da Napoli is my favorite, but I've never been to Bucci's. Have you been to both? How do they compare?
