Hello everybody!
Is the Clark Avenue on the border of Detroit-Shoreway and Clark-Fulton a good place to live there?

It's shaky, but not horrible. The worst west side areas occur in pockets. These are mostly west of W. 30th and east of W. 150th North of Memphis and South of Detroit. However, they are certainly not all bad. Some are even quite nice. The worst I've seen in that area is the Denison corridor between about W.50th and Lorain.

43rd and Clark is a great area -- if you want to write a book on living in poor, miserable, hopeless inner-city neighborhoods.
I mean, you won't get shot. You probably won't get mugged, although the chance is probably higher than almost anywhere else on the west side. But why bother? What's over there except people barely scraping by?

I don't think that I would personally live there, but it's not super-terrible. I go down to Mazzone's bakery all of the time. The area is rough, but not altogether different than your average, working-class area of any major city. Obviously, the key is going to be who lives on either side of you. If you have good neighbors, the low cost and proximity to Ohio City, Tremont, and Downtown will likely be worth the seediness.
