I'm originally from the Storer/Clark area. I don't know if I could call any area off Clark a good or even average area.

Clark in general is basically an inner city, urban, poor, working class, majority Puerto Rican/Hispanic area. Crime is high throughout although I wouldn't consider it that bad or a ghetto and it's not near as bad as the worst areas of Cleveland. A lot of gang activity though.

I'd argue that it never really went anywhere, but, yeah, sure, Shaker Square is doing very well for itself at the moment. There is at least one upscale restaurant anchoring each quadrant of the Square, and lots of other neat little shops scattered about.

Hey I got to vote!

Voted for Shaker, due to having a family with younger children.

Not sure of the public school situations in the other areas.

If it was just me and my wife, I would be all over Downtown or Ohio City.

That's one of the great things about Shaker Square neighborhood -- Shaker Heights school district!
