Default Home Price Rebound?

Some good news for Cleveland concerning home prices.

According to the Case Shiller Home Price History Index, prices finally started to go up a little in the metro Cleveland area. The index shows a rebound of a little over 1% for the month.

One note of caution though, the Cleveland area has a history of spring rebounds, followed with drops towards the end of summer. Hopefully, that won't be the case this time around.

The last numbers I saw (April 09) the unadjusted numbers were up 1.21 but those don't mean much. The seasonally adjusted numbers which are more meaningful are up 0.29. That number is down 11.6 from 110.6 in April of last year. There was a bigger spike last year from March to April (up 2.18 from 108.42 to 110.6). Our current index is lower than than our April 2000 value

I'm buying not selling so it's OK with me (for now anyway).
