Hmm. My alma mater. They must not have done much since I was there because it was fine back in the day.

200 million a year wouldn't cut it, heh?

I read all the way through your series of posts saying, "Glenville? E. Tech? South???" knowing full well that, even though they are in impoverished areas, they are decently kept schools...and then I read NORTH OLMSTED??!! C'mon now!! How does that even apply? I can name a plethora of Cleveland area schools that are EXCELLENT. As a matter of complete fact, most of our suburban schools are superb. If it's really that bad, NO has the wealth and the clout to do something about it. I suggest you stop trashing all of Cleveland because of one lousy, second-tier, suburban school and lobby the idiots in your suburb who have let it slip.

I apologize that I seem negative. It's just that as a mom, my deepest prioritity lies with my kids. It hurts me to see our community failing them. I want Cleveland to succeed for the sake of the city's future and my children's future.
Cleveland isn't the problem, toots. It's your local community of NO. Regionalization won't make it any better. The people in your community who are for education and high standards need to overpower the backward-thinking morons. Their kids were educated, now it's your kids' turn. So, get the deadbeats in your neighborhood off of their couches and into the voting booth. Otherwise, nothing will ever change.

And, austinite, thanks for leaving your $120K+ at Case...and, thank all of the others who did the same and left for the desert. University Circle smells much better without you...

It's a beautiful, sunny 51 degrees right now. It's supposed to get up into the low 60's, but might rain later this evening.

You made your post before 10 AM, and it was already 84? Will the temps rise much more? I'd hate to think what the weather is like during summer!

Wow. Its only 70 a few hours away in Charlotte at 1pm, it was chilly at 8am this morning, a cool 49 degrees...no clouds to insulate the heat overnight. Looks like an ideal day for golf with the carolina blue skies..lunchtime tennis for me...

Yet, we're still in the top 30 metropolitan areas in the country. The minor exodus is indicative of the loss of the manufacturing jobs, not how "nice" the city is. The people who left went south and can't find work there either. Virtually every manufacturing center has lost population in the last decade. Besides that, what's your point other than to be an ambiguous troll?
