Default Cleveland Heights - Cleveland Hts. Blvd. Area

My husband and I are in our mid-twenties and are looking to buy our first home in the Cleveland Heights/South Euclid/University Heights area. I grew up in Shaker Heights and we currently rent near Coventry Village, but there is still a lot I don't know about the different neighborhoods in Cleveland Heights as it is quite big!

There are several houses for sale in the Cleveland Heights Blvd. area (North off Mayfield across from Severance Town Center) that are within our price range. The area seems nice - nice (yet smaller) houses that seem well-kept, tree lined streets, but I really don't know that much about this area. We are looking for a diverse neighborhood, but don't want to be the only white folk on our street either (sorry to be so blunt!) We also don't want to be in an area that is highly crime-ridden. If I didn't know any better I would say this looks like a nice area, but since I know how Cleveland Hts. can change from one end to the other, I'd like some more perspective.

Thank you!

Sorry - please ignore the "Nela Park Area" in the subject...I was mistaken. I am talking about the area across from Severence town center - North of Mayfield, West of Noble, South of Monticello.

South of Monticello in that area is usually the better of the two. I don't know that street exactly, but I'd highly doubt you'd be the only white people....if I had to guess, I would say it's about evenly mixed.
