Ah, good old Ralph Perk. Who could forget how he set his hair on fire with a welding torch?

Yes!!! I remember the jingle well, and the Captain Penny quote was a truth to live by!

And here's something that will really take you to a different era...

Does anyone remember when McDonald's would give you free tickets to an Indians game for your report card? I can't remember if you had to get straight A's or just an A in a subject, but for that they'd give you two tickets. They were bleeder seats, but since only about 5000 people attended the games in the stadium back then, you could sit anywhere you wanted. Most of them were probably people with free tickets too.

Default WTAM 1100 & Rick Gilmore

The one true show that I miss was the Rick Gilmore Show on 1100 WTAM.

He was on some weeknights, and on weekends from 8 to midnight.

Rick Gilmore had a great repartee with his audience, and catered to a younger mixed crowd. He picked some interesting topics to light up the board. Where is he now???

Im pretty young (in my 20s) but I think the older people here would remember some place called Euclid beach or something. My grandma told me about it a few times I think it was an amusement park.

I remember! I was 6. That storm took half of our house on Beachview Drive in Willoughby!

This is AWESOME! I grew up in Willoughby, lived there all my life until last year(I'm 44). Moved to Kentucky. How about "Gary Dee"? "Bargain Fair", "Lockee Lee", "Euclid Race", Remember the insulated milk box on the porch? The weekend could not start until Murry Saul told us we had to "GET DOWN"! How bout the "Coffee Break Concerts" at the Agora? "Master Pizza" "Dog-n-Suds" "Mentor Ave." "Vine St." The snow storms at the end of the 70's. "Lazerium" Keep these coming folks, this is great. Thanks for the memories! Oh yeah, "Manners Big Boy"
