How long have you lived in Kirtland? Do you remember TUBBY'S beer joint...that was years ago and I think the Mormons have purchased all that property.
What about the Chainsaw Massacre...my sister heard the chainsaws that night, but really didn't think it was anything to be concerned about. HOW AWEFUL!

Used to live off of Hobart for about 15 years. Know both well.
1. Tubbys - the Mormons bought the triangle and rerouted the roads a few years ago. Its actually quite nice now. The family of my former neighbors in Wickliffe owned a bar in the triangle back in the 80's. Never knew the name of the bar.
2. The Melonheads.
3. The Kirtland cult killings. They tore down the house and barn this past Summer. Its going to be an evangelical church.
4. The Wisner Road spring. Closed a couple years ago by the health department.
5. The Chardon Maple Festival
Definitely not the East side -
6. Euclid Beach Park and Conneaut Lake Park. Conneaut Lake is probably closed for good. They stored much of their stuff in the old dance hall. It burned to the ground last winter. No insurance.
7. Polish Boys from Coventry Pizza. Yogurt shakes from Tommy's.
8. The Flats - especially the Rivers Edge.
9. The World Series of Rock.
10. Bernie Kosar, Earnest Byner, Kevin Mack, Frank Minnifield and Hanford Dixon
11. The Big Egg

The Other Drive In
The drive in that was a stones throw from the Cloverleaf was the Canal Rd.Drive In.I think its now a lovely filtration plant. Each row of cars was situated on a hill, and if you knocked the car out of gear in a moment of passion, you's start to roll into the car in front of you.

Yeah, I took many girls "melonhead hunting" in high school. It was always a good excuse to try to pull your car down a dark road, and we'd usually end up at the Wisner Rd. springs. The Kirtland Hills police were never amused about the whole melonhead hunting thing, and would always suggest sternly that you find somewhere else to cruise around aimlessly.

There was an old wives tale that there were people with very large heads, the size of watermelons or something, roaming around Kirtland at night. Going melonhead hunting involved driving around rural Kirtland and Kirtland Hills at night to look for roaming "melonheads", basically as an excuse to drink (and drive, unfortunately) with your friends or take a girlfriend down to a dark road at night to park...ah, the good old days.
