I lived off of Woodhill, at 92nd Street. I remember Orlando and went there with my dad. We moved to Parma in the 60's. I've been living in the Chicago area for 35 years and still miss Cleveland.

She was totally restored to her original image. The first year she was 'out' she was displayed at stores all over the Cleveland area.
Now she's available to RENT...it used to be $400.00 for a weekend.....price may be different now. Doesn't that bring back memories?
It brings back bad memories. As a little child I was terrified of those two laughing people. However, once we got past them I enjoyed Euclid Beach a lot. I loved riding the racing horses, not the merry go round. The popcorn balls were excellent too.

Have you been back to your old neighborhood recently? or in the past 20 years?

Not so pretty.

Its sad what happened to most of Cleveland.

I agree. I have wonderful memories. And when I go home, it is so sad at what has and is happening to Cleveland.

It's because everyone left. Who did people expect to take care of the neighborhoods when they all left?

I mean the people who left for the suburbs. Not as many people have migrated out of Northeast Ohio as most would have you believe, and there aren't as few jobs here as most would have you believe.

If Im not mistaken Northeast Ohio has been gaining population, or staying about the same, not losing. Its mostly the more urban areas that are losing population. Many suburbs in the area and former rural areas are growing.

I lived on E.91st and Union ave. in Cleveland during the sixties and part of the seventies and would like to share my memories with everyone. Here goes:
J&L Steel on the corner of 91st. and Crane ave. We lived across the street from J & L and my father was friends with the security guard that worked their (my father was friends with everyone that he met) and I would always get a kick out of the security guard waving hi to me and my brother.
Woodland Hills Elementary School (old and new school)
Cermak drug store on the corner of Union and E. 93th st.
Edwards grocery store next to Cermak's.
The Five and Dime store that was about four store fronts south from Cermak's.
The Tiki restaurant by E.93th and Miles. I think it was Tiki or Tiki Tiki or crap I can't remember.
Drag racing down Bessemer ave. and on 91st St.
Chirstmas time on Broadway and E.55th st. (some people say that the X-mas displays were better than the displays downtown.
Thats all I have right now be back later.
