Nice parks on Lake Erie near Westlake?
Hi, I live in Westlake, OH and I am looking for a nice park on Lake Rd to visit. I currently go to Rocky River Park because I like their features and also enjoy the fact that no swimming is allowed (I try to stay away from Huntington for this reason). Does anyone know any nice lake parks with beach access (and preferably no swimming) in the area around Rocky River, Bay Village, Avon Lake that I can visit? Thanks!

When you say Rocky River, do you mean Clague Park? That's technically in Westlake. So if you aren't refering to that park, you should check that out.

Seconding costello_musicman's suggestion of Lakewood Park. Lake access, no swimming at the beach (although Foster Pool is also located there), a big playground with ships and things to climbs on, a pavillion in case of rain, and old-fashioned swings (like porch swings) facing the lake. No dogs allowed, which is a point of contention among Lakewoodites right now. Oh, and it's next to the skate park and the oldest stone house museum.
