Default Puerto Rican restaurants in Cleveland

Are there any other PR restaurants besides "El Taino" in Cleveland? Given the somewhat large Borinca population I would have figured there would be more. Also, are there any Caribbean or Cuban style restaurants anyone would recommend?

Hi I don't know any Puerto Ricans restaurants in Clevand because I'm from NYC. However, I found some PRicans restaurants in Cleveland. Check the links below.

Yeah I had found those ones and they are both closed. Thanks for the help though. I am really missing De Rican Chef around now.

Not a restaurant per se, but my Puerto Rican friend goes to Caribe Bake Shop on Fulton Road. Or maybe it's Caribe Grocery on West 25th. Checking those out would be a good start.

For Caribbean I'd recommend Johnny Mangos in Ohio City. Not sure if it's authentic, but it's delicious!

Try the chicken fried rice. It's not like Chinese fried rice it has a wonderful spicy lime sauce, cucumber, tomatoes, brown rice...omg I'm salivating just thinking about it.

The Carribean fries (fried plantains w/ salsa) are delish too.

There are many Puerto Rican restaurants throughout the area. Considering the West Side is around 1/3 Puerto Rican... but many are smaller type of establishments that might not be listed on the web. There also might be better options in Lorain. El Kefon (sp?) is a good one on Broadway in Lorain... not sure if it's around still.

I don't have any names right now but I'll ask around. I usually only get my PR food at the PR Festival.. which I suggest everyone attends! It's awesome.
