Default A Few Questions About Cuyahoga Falls

Hello!

1. How long is the commute to Cleveland from Cuyahoga Falls?
How long to Akron?

2. How are the schools? I have children at all three levels (elementary, middle, and high)

3. I've heard about the "snow belt" in Ohio. Is Cuyahoga Falls in this belt? How much snow do they usually get? We are from Maine so we can handle snow (lots and lots of snow!)

Anything else I should know about this area?

One of the things about this city that caught my eye was the Natatorium. It looks awesome, and the membership fees are actually less than my local YMCA.

Thanks!

1. The commute from the Falls to downtown Cleveland would take about 35 minutes, 45-50 minutes during rush hour.

2. The schools were recently rated "Excellent" by the state. Heres the full report...
Ohio Department of Education Home Page

3. The Falls isn't in the snow belt, but on the outskirts of it. It snows from December through March, occasionally in early April. At most, up to a foot will fall, but usually 3-5 inches is about it. Plow trucks are always out, streets are usually clean.

Utilities in the Falls are low because the city owns the electric and water. Overall its a very nice, older community. Very clean, very friendly. The Falls has "Rockin on the River" every Friday evening during the summer...food, music, etc.
