Is there still a public beach in Fairport Harbor?

I forgot about Geneva. And if you want a really nice beach, keep going east on I-90 to Presque Isle State Park in Erie: seven miles of sandy beaches, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, bike rentals and a bike path.

happy camper is on a distinguished road
I would check out Hinkley Lake. It is part of the Cleveland Metroparks. The little dangly part of the Emeral Necklace. They have a great lake to canoe and kayak on (My family has done so many many times!) Plus a nice area for swimming, walking in the water, hiking and picnicing. Check out the website for the Metroparks. You could also check out all the wonderful things going on within the park.
