No wonder you two hate Ohio.........Ashtabula pretty much sucks! Although, a lot of people in my area do spend their summer weekends up at Geneva on the Lake. I know a ton of people that go there to boat or chill in their vacation cottage, trailer or motor home. lol Don't forget the camping and bikers!

Ashtabula is not cleveland, and I think is a poor barameter by which to judge the cleveland/NEO area as a whole.

I just moved here under two years ago, and I for the most part like it. However, I find that what sometimes kills the experience for me is the negative attitudes people have, and they take things for granted.

I've actually spent time in Cleveland, and lived in Columbus too.
I do think Ashtabula is worse than those two cities... btw

I agree with putting Ashtabula on the miserable cities list. That place is worse than death itself.

Cleveland would be a great place, if they'd find something to do with all the run down industrial areas. It makes the city look like the aftermath of a Nuclear attack...

A wise man once told me "no one puts down Cleveland more then Clevelanders".

A truer thing has never been said.

You can't even compare Ashtabula to the likes of 90% of Cleveland it's suburbs. Ashtabula might be one of the worst places I have ever visited. Judging Ohio based on Ashtabula is like judging the entire United States on trailer parks.
