wilmington/wrightsville beach question
can anyone recommend an inexpensive, but nice, hotel right on the beach? we have small children, if that influences your answer at all. we're looking to make a quick trip, just one night, in the near future. thanks so much!

I have had numerous friends with kids stay at the holiday inn on wrightsville. It is right on the ocean, I don't know the prices, but it may be worth checking out

I would suggest checking the local tourism marketing entity's website, the Cape Fear Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau, Wilmington NC - Cape Fear Coast Convention - Visitors Bureau. You'll find info on accomodations for all three of the beaches (Wrightsville, Carolina and Kure) including website addresses and phone numbers. There is also information on places to see, things to do, etc. And if you prefer talking with someone there's a toll-free number to the bureau.

Depends what you consider "inexpensive" and be aware this is high volume season, so not only will you pay premium price but you may not get a room.
Use sunscreen!

Oh man...
If you can, take the extra hour or so and drive down to Myrtle Beach.
My family & I discovered this really fun hotel, we hardly had to venture out to find something to do! Plus, there's a Starbucks downstairs so really, you can't go wrong.

I also found it to be cheaper to stay in MB then Wrightsville.
