Can you give me some tips on where to start. I already created my Profile, and accepted the agreement terms.

Your help is really appreciated.

Default New England Transplant

I am from CT - want to move to VA, NC, or SC, closer to my military family ties.

But I'm not military, and need to find a decent paying job!!

Looking in VA, NC, or SC - live in CT now, but I'm done with New England - so whatever advice you have, I'd love to hear it!!

Want close to water, but not too close I have to pay Hurricane Insurance!

Patty in CT

You don't want to move to Jacksonville or Hubert or any of the "suburbs" of Jacksonville. This place is a nightmare and it's only going to get worse. Onslow County has NO planning system in place and our area is supposed to get 11,000 more military personnel in the coming years. I've lived in eastern NC my entire life and Jacksonville has never been somewhere I'd tell people they should move. It's nice to visit... but you don't want to stay. I'd go for Wilmington, Morehead City, or New Bern if you really want to live near the coast.
