Lets not be too biased:

13 University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill
17 University of North Carolina, Wilmington
20 Appalachian State University
21 University of North Carolina, Asheville
35 North Carolina State University, Raleigh
36 East Carolina University
37 University of North Carolina, Greensboro

That is seven out of the 16 schools. Not to shabby for our state

this is obviously a price-sensitive analysis.

I read the other day, that South Carolina's 4-year schools have double the tuition of North Carolina's, about $4k vs. $8k per year. I also read that California is raising college tuitions by 32%. I believe, in general, 4-year schools are raising tuitions to cope with budget cuts.

So more than anything, this report really tells you that the state government is in relatively good financial shape, and is committed to higher ed.

This is the coastal forum-Not the Piedmont or mountain forum, That's why I only mentioned Wilmington. It's also why I provided the link so everyone could see all of the schools listed.

MrBojangles-I mentioned Wilmington because they placed the highest of all. I thought that would make a good lead in for the forum. Otherwise I would have to list all of the NC schools that made the top 100.

Besides-Greenville Coastal? Go ahead and try to get some sand between your toes, hang 10 or catch a king mackerel from there.

How City-Data is set up, it most certainly is. It is in the Coastal Plains. The ability to catch a King Mac isn't the only criteria for coastal NC.
