Another view of speed bumps.,...I have a Dodge 4x4 diesel for pulling our camper and other chores, trust me speed bumps rattle the heck out of my truck and ME. I have to slow down to walking speed to avoid being bounced around. Down South, pickups are more common then up north where you come from and deserve consideration.

Two things:

1) It's NEVER a good idea to put your address on the internet for everybody to see.

2) You're posting in the wrong forum. This is NC forum, not FL forum.

Back in the day, living on Oak Island, before Yacht Drive was even paved...One day I went to Police Station. The officer asked if he could help and I asked if I could ask a question. He said, of course. I then asked if the speed limit on Yacht Drive was 65 or 75 mph. That got their attention.

For the rest of the day, I heard sirens first going up Yacht and then going back.

Unfortunately, both my next door neighbor's wife and his son's girlfriend picked up tickets. The guy across the street did, too.

I saw a rumble going on in their driveway and went down to see what the commotion was about. They were wild that some "A-hole" had turned them all in for speeding.

Gulp. I told them it was me, but I had not turned them in, just informed the police that people were speeding earlier in the day. No one cared! They were pissed. And I never, ever went one mph over the limit for as long as I lived there.

So ... if you think you want to do something, I suggest, strongly, that you get your neighbors on board, from the beginning. That guy had been a good fishing buddy of mine. We never fished again!
