Looking to move to the area and would like for someone to refer me to a great pediatrician for our 1 yr old. Also looking for a gentle dentist. I don't mean to sound bias but I would prefer a female doctor/dentist. My son reacts better to women!

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, whether male or female. I want a pediatrician who goes by the books, is precautious and serious; not looking for a laid-back type of person. I hate to leave his current pediatrician; she is the best!

Thanks in advance to all!

I use cape fear pediatrics...Dr. Hill is who we usually see and we have been happy there. it is a large practice, but the doctors always take their time to ask questions and address any concerns you have. My whole family uses Dr. Butler as our DDS. Not a female, but all of the hygienists are. Dr. Butler is very sweet and soft spoken and all the staff people are great. Good luck with the move!

Is Dr. Butler a pediatric dentist? And what's the name of his practice?

Thanks!

He does "Family Dentistry." It's funny because I was adamant about going to a "pediatric" dds, but due to insurance restrictions, I ended up there. I believe, now, there are some pediatric dentist that participate in my plan...but I am not interested in changing His practice is just him...Richard Butler, DDS.

Skip Tyson is a very gentle dentist, and very caring. He helped mine cope with a dentist phobia.

I've never been disappointed with WHA's pediatric clinic. The docs there all seem to be quite competent.
