I am going to be perfectly honest here, my in laws lived in sunset beach for about 5 years, and now live at ocean isle. I think the majority of job in the area are more seasonal. Not to say that they are not jobs for people all year round, I am just saying, the flux of people is very high during season (may to labor day) and sunset is getting more and more crowded every year due to its close proximity to myrtle beach. Anyhow, they moved down there and retired, which is what it seems a lot of people are doing.

Basically, the industry there seems based on tourism.

^ This is probably the case in every beach town in the entire state. Mostly tourist-oriented jobs....plus some construction jobs too.

We used to vacation is Sunset Beach. Don't remember being much around there. The obviously spots to look for jobs:
monster.com
hotjobs.com
dice.com
Seems like the closest place to look for a job would be Myrtle Beach area and commute?

Yes, they have schools there, you would have to check with the brunswick county school system. My mother in law worked at two places there: wal mart, which she didn't like, and terminex, where she was a receptionist. Yes, I am sure they have jobs like that there, but you almost have to already be there to know about the jobs!!!!

anyhow, check out brunswick county schools that might help.

I am also looking for a job in the Brunswick county area. My mother is in Calabash and I've been looking in the local paper. Try www.brunswickbeacon.com and click on the on line ads section, it will bring you to the classifieds and job listings...good luck
