I wanted to ask this in the Gville development thread, but I figured I might as well make a new thread.

Has anyone been to the new terminal since it has been built? I guess I was complete in November, but I haven't seen any photos. Anyone have any?

When I looked for the website, there isn't one. How the heck can you run a commercial airport WITHOUT A WEBSITE? The "one" I found looks like it was shut down for non payment or something.

I mentioned in the other thread about the 91.5 acres bought for the airport. I only found one tract (80509), but can't find the other. Anyone know where the other ~43 acre lot is?

To be a "big project", I've heard nothing on it. I saw somewhere where you don't even have to touch the tarmac anymore to board. Man we are getting big

It is fairly small airport. You could probably throw a rock at the Enterprise place from where you get your bags.

I flew out of there recently. It's pretty nice and there's a jetway now so you don't have to walk outside.

lol...yeah, it was weird walking outside, then up the stairs to the plane. I'm old enough to remember when that was ore common - airport in Westchester County NY didn't have a jetway, and some gates in San Diego didn't.

There been a couple of instances recently where passengers have had to stay on planes for extended periods of time. Since they couldn't easily get them back to a jetway they've had to sit there for hours on end. I was wondering why they didn't just let them walk the hundred feet back into the airport.

Pitt County and the City of Greenville bought that tract of land together in December of 2010. There is only one other purchase by this "partnership" in December of 2010. It is a .54 acre tract with parcel number 29681.

The website is located at : Welcome to Pitt County - City of Greenville Airport Authority New Website!
