I am in a meetup group that is based in the Brunswick County area, and in the mood to celebrate Mardi Gras. Anyone know of any establishments that are planning to celebrate Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras, perhaps in Ocean Isle/ Oak Island/ Calabash???????? Thanks in advance.

Sorry, don't know anything in your area, but Beaufort's Sister City Program, and the Middle Lane businesses, are sponsoring a Fat Tuesday shindig in Beaufort NC that evening (Tuesday, March 8).

Starts around 5:30 PM and features New Orleans foods, music and parade with Crewes.

Find the event on Middle Lane just off Front Street..follow the smell of gumbo!

Or if you are willing to travel a little further south into North Myrtle Beach, Dick's at Barefoot Landing is having a Mardi Gras parade and party
