Hi, my husband and I are coming down in a few weeks for our third visit. We'll be staying in a rental right in Winding River to get the best feel for the community and hopefully meet our future neighbors. We wish to build a custom home within the next 2 years and are looking for a 1/2 acre or just under. We've seen available properties with an agent but haven't yet found the exact piece of property to suit our needs. We were told there may be lots for sale by owners that don't have listings. Do you or anyone else know of property owners looking to sell? A friend put us in contact with someone that had three lots but all were quite a bit under a 1/2 acre. Also, we'd love to meet up with WR residents. Are there any community functions we could attend during our stay 8/23-8/27? We're in our early 50's and are from Long Island. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

What type of lot are you looking for? Pond front, golf course, cul de sac, pond view rear????????

Also, with required setbacks...........you may need to look larger than .50 acre... depending upon what it is you would like to build and the building envelope required.

We made four trips over a two year period. In March we selected WRP, purchased a .31 ac. lot and closed in April. The builder started clearing our lot this past week.

Our house foot-print will be smaller so the lot was just the right size.

How large a home do you think you will build? One floor or two? What direction will you want the front of the house to face?
