Is anyone concerned about the wind farm? I have a friend in another state, that has wind farms, and he says everytime he drives though that area he feels pressure in his chest. Also that birds have left the area because of the wind turbines.
It makes me wonder if the Navy maybe behind the wind farms. If the wind turbines made the birds go somewhere else the Navy could have their landing fields back. There needs to be community concern, like there was over the landing field. Don't just look at the big land lease they are offering there is a reason they pay big money for your land.

Please get busy doing some research.

Thank goodness somebody's finally decided to man up and set up a wind farm somewhere in the area. It's a shame it took a foreign company to do it. For all the talk about how we're the best America #1 we sure have dropped the ball on renewable energy.

Conspiracy theory with the Navy? Oook

I would LOVE for there to be a huge wind farm in the Pamlico and Atlantic. Just make sure you can't see it from the beach. Win win situation

Just about everyone I've spoken to who lives here wants the wind farms off shore. It's the out of state rental owners who have a problem and their opinion doesn't count either way.

Here's an interesting read about the Fox Islands Wind farm and living in an island community.

The navy's given up on establishing an OLF in eastern NC. They're looking for a west coast site now, because every location they've proposed has been protested by locals.

Another perk of the "wind farm", I assume would be good fishing. I don't know how close you could get to the actual windmill, but any structure in the water will attract fish.

I have 640 acres west of Salt Lake, I want to have a wind farm built there and help supply Salt Lake City, or even run some Lines down to so. Cal. But I have no idea where to start, I have the wind to do it, but where my land is, there is no town, we are litterly in the middle of nowhere but land is perfect for it, can anyone help? I surely cannot afford to build them my self.
Thank you, AloneinUtah

I know this is a crazy suggestion, but in today's paper it was talking about Arnold Swetnegger working with green energy projects, see if you have some way of getting his attention. Is he on twitter, or something. Call So. Calif. green energy people and see if they can help.
