Default Help deciding on relocation

I intend to move from the Baltimore region within the next 10-12 months. I used to reside in Oxford NC for 5 years and loved it. Although when I move back to NC I would like to be closer to the coast. Right now I am considering Williamston, Edenton, New Bern, Morehead City and perhaps Elizabeth City. Of course I am open to Greenville, Beaufort, Washington and any other small towns I am forgetting at the moment. Any suggestions or concerns I should be aware of. Thanks for your help.

Thanks chevygirl... I am waiting for a corrections job to open up in that area. That area (Currituck, Elizabeth City) are very appealing to me as it is a closer ride to visit my parents in DE. Thanks for the info and I have recently received a brochure from Currituck Chamber. Of course low taxes is always a plus when you come from a northern state (MD). Thanks

I am also from Maryland, and I currently live in Wilmington and love it. Is that a place you would consider?

I have spent some time in Wilmington NC previously when I lived in NC.. I do love it down there but the type of work that I do/am looking for, I am not real sure if I want to do that in a urban area such as Wilmington. The other issue is that it is a bit further to drive to my family in DE. But it is not completely off of my list. Sometimes I think that would probably be the best match for me as it is a smaller city on the coast. Where in MD did you live and how long have you been down there. Thanks for your suggestion.
