Default New Bern is a Wonderful Town

I was born and raised in New Bern. Sounds like we are about the same age range. I left for 20 years and returned to be closer to my family. I particularly love the rivers and being close to the beach. Today is in the 40's, but the weekend is suppose to be in the 70's. We've had an unusual winter and you have in New Jersey too. The winters are short and mild.

New Bern has a local theater and you can look at the links on my site for other events that take place. As other communities lost their downtowns in the 70's to malls, New Bern did also. Now the downtown is thriving and growing every day. Talbots is building a store this year and Joseph Banks is expected to open a store too. My husband and I own a little cafe' and deli downtown too.

We still have our hokey Christmas parades and I know we will maintain our historic culture even with rapid growth.

Martha
