Hampstead (Fort Bragg, Cape Carteret: renting, house, best schools)

We are considering a move from NJ to coastal NC. We came across Hampstead in our search. We want to be close to the beach, but still live in a nice community. We have 2 small children so schools are very important to us. Does anyone have any suggestions or information that might deem important for us to know? Are there any other towns that we are overlooking?

Cape Carteret....best schools in the whole area....2nd best high school in NC....Town is on the water, has boat ramp, town parks on the water, a library....my town, I love it....

A co-worker of mine lives in Hampstead and loves it. She's very pleased with the schools.

Im renting a house here untill i find the right place. but i can say its a nice area. thats coming from Fort Bragg NC
