Default Wilmington neighborhoods near the beach

Are there any nice, middle-class neighborhoods within bike riding distance to the beach? I would love to find a list of neighborhoods that you could ride your bike to the beach that are family oriented and not too expensive.

Wilmington is not beside the beach you will need to look into Carolina Beach. Someone who familiar with neighborhoods hopefully will chime in.

Landfall, Covil Farms and anywhere behind and around Mayfaire are all within biking distance to Wrightsville. There is also a very nice bike path all the way there.

One of the military wives said Carolina Beach was nice. Are there some good neighborhoods there that are bike-riding distance from the beach?

In Carolina or Kure Beach you could ride to the beach. The "North End" of Carolina Beach you can walk there. Carolina and Kure Beach are relatively inexpensive areas for being so close to the beach. Not as upscale as Wrightsville Beach however.
