I am currently a resident at the hospital and have lived here for 4 months, moving from Philly and Chicago.

The Good: The hospital-PCMH is absolutely booming, they are expanding like crazy and have just been named a stroke center and have a new heart hospital. A lot of the attending I work with are from all over including Philly, NY, etc
.

Hi, I am from chicago area and ECU is one of the places I am interviewing for residency at, so I wanted to do come research on the place. I was impressed with the school itself and eager to check out how the people are. Thanks for your post about Greenville.

can you tell me if there are any deaf people that live in Greenville. I am a Sign Language Interpreter and my husband is Deaf. We are thinking of relocating and are looking at Greenville because one of the largest VRS providers has centers all over NC and one in Greenville. Thanks for your help.

I don't really know. There must be a need or else they wouldn't be expanding into Greenville. There is currently a position open for a VRS interpeter here. VRS Interpreter Jobs in Greenville, Nc - Hound.com

I would say yes, as the County has over 160,000 people.

Every time I go to Greenville I come back more impressed. Yeah, there are some bad areas and some problems, lots of services, lots of "consumer centric" stuff, and ECU provides cultural/education experience. Other than being farther from salt water than I want to be, I rather like Greenville.

Greenville NC is growing faster than the average bear. The action is everywhere, you just have to inquire to current events. For the most part folks are friendly. On the road I notice speed demons and almost everyone on their phone. No enforcement. The weather is great come spring, summer, fall or winter it's seasonally tolerable. The city of Greenville shuts down at the site of an inch of snow. Lol. Finding a job can be worrisome. Most North Carolinians take pride in up keeping their property. Majority of the roads are clean. That's to me is uplifting. Compare to Jersey it's a blessing. Religion of all kinds you will surely find. Good luck..

I currently living in West Virginia, born and raised. But am looking for a retirement place in the next 2 years. With the beach more available. Love the idea of NC having the beach and mountains to offer. Also hopefully the cost of living less. What website would you recommend for real estate in the Greenville area?

Mid-sized college town with lots of parties. Some decent shopping. Lots of druggies and bars. That's about it.

Used to live there.
