Hi all. If your yard needs cleaned up after a hurricane where do you look to find someone you can hire to clean it up? Craigslist? Does the city provide names of people to call? I always see trucks from other states that come in but I have no idea how you get a hold of people. Thanks!

Google "landscaping company". There won't be a bunch of out of town companies around here because there was so little damage but the best way to get in touch with one is to stop them when you see their truck or just call them since most will have their phone number on their trucks and equipment trailers. The local coampanies can be found on google. There are dozens so they won't be hard to find.

Call the town or city you live in first. Most times after major storms. Cities and towns get monies for the government for clean up. Regardless of who does it. Before doing anything. Check with your insurance company. Ask them for a list of approved vendors. You are going to have everyone and their brother ask you. Check their insurance. Just do not be in a hurry. Every scammer is hitting the streets already. PROTECT YOURSELF!!!
