Looking for any info about storm damage on Harkers Island, NC. Especially interested in damage that occurred at or near Cape Lookout RV Park on Island Road. Pictures would be great, but any information would be appreciated!

Electricity when off early Friday evening and still down; not likely many on the island can get to the forum. We have retirement home on HI but don’t live there [yet]. From what I’ve been told not much damage from storm on the Shell Point side, but moderate damage in Harkers Village - west end after the wind shifted to the backside of the storm. Some minor flooding in low lying areas – again on the west end. Don’t know about the RV park.

Default Camping?

Harkers Island doesn't really have a beach. You can take the ferry to Cape Lookout or Shackelford Banks and camp (leaving your car behind) or you can take the ferry at Davis and bring your SUV - 4WD with you and camp along the National Seashore.
