Topsail Island?

My daughter lives and works in Sneads Ferry. I have stayed on the island 3 times. THis winter, I will be renting a house in the maritime forest area for 2 months, mid Jan thru Mid March. I would like to find some friends my age with similar interests. I do smoke and drink and like to hang out and play board games, cards, kayak and out to dinner.

There isn't much to do in Sneads Ferry in the winter. However, Rick's has trivia nights, karaoke and live music and does things for the Steelers' games. Their schedule is here: http://eatatricks.com/calendar-2/

The Lo-re-lai is another hangout, but it is more the beer and pool-table crowd.
