What is the current price of propane per gallon near the Shallotte area? Brunswick county. My brother lives in the Poconos in Pennsylvania and is currently paying $2.38 per gallon.

The tax on energy, whether it's electricity or propane is 3%. So Ellise's $3.01 would be $3.11 after tax.

Just like any product this is supply and demand. You have to look at the averages. In most markets demand is starting to rise due to colder weather. With this coupled with the petroleum refining process. Price raise as oil does. As for who has the cheapest. It is all the same in the end. Some will reduce the price to below the average to get new customers which in the end will be paying the same as everyone else. If one believes that a low price that is below the average is sustainable is crazy. I would use term you get what you pay for. Sometimes having that tank filled by a company which maybe a little higher yet offers great customer service is worth those few extra pennies.
