Brunswick Nuclear Plant says 'unusual event' is no cause for alarm (Southport: title, system)

Progress Energy's Brunswick Nuclear Plant near Southport reported an "unusual event" Wednesday after workers discovered a reactor coolant system leaking more than 10 gallons per minute. A Nuclear Regulatory Commission spokesman said the reactor was safely shut down, and there is no threat to the public or environment.
