Last couple of times I went out on a charter boat I saw people driving and it looked like they were camping on Carolina Beach, right on the tip where the boats get out to the atlantic. Is this still allowed? If it is can anyopne give me any ideas as to permits etc? Thanks

Yes, as far as I know, you can still camp at the north end of Carolina Beach. Last I heard, you could buy a one entry pass (for 4 wheel drive vehicle) for $10 or a season pass for $40. The entrance is at the north end of Canal Dr.

Yes you can still camp there. Freeman Park doesn't close. It's too big of a revenue stream for the town of Carolina Beach.
