We've been looking for awhile at coastal plantations, online only.
We are looking for a place that we (retired) can easily meet people of our age group, so we would need a community with a fairly active clubhouse, preferably with dining and no golf membership required. Looking at something in the 2500 ft range and 250-400 price range.
We definitely want to see St james-others that I think might be a possibility are Rivers Edge and River Sea Plantation. Also, have some others that were suggested by other people-Palmetto Creek, Rivermist, Waterford, Brunswick Forest and Traemoor at Arbor Creek.
I know that is a lot of places, and we intend to be in the area in the next month or so, but trying to get any insight into these properties before we come up.Specifically, do any of them require memberships (I know St james does), any plu or minuses on location, and are any of these in financial trouble??
Any insight would be helpful.

We are looking at River Sea but can't find information on it's financial condition. Were you able to find anything?
