My girlfriend and I are visiting this area for a nice getaway to celebrate us being together for a year.

Anyways, I'm just trying to get an idea of what's in this area for two people who are 21 to do, I know Wilmington is about 20 mins away so that whole area plus the beach is available to us.

We're night people so I'm guessing most of our moving around town will be at night, so what's the night life like around here, but anything that you can recommend for daytime is good too.

Also, what's a great classy place for a romantic dinner and what's the price range?

Thanks.

The last time I checked, WB was not 20 minutes from Wilmington. It's about that long to downtown however. Downtown is the hot spot at night. It's also fun to walk around during the day. What types of things do you want to do? As for dinner, Caprice Bistro is nice. It's nice and cozy. The owners are very nice. The pomme frites are delicious.

I know downtown was 20 mins away from WB, I just Google mapped WB to Wilmington.
I guess as for nightlife, we're looking for a good nightclub or bar.

as far as downtown bars go, i like cape fear wine & beer, blue post, and barbary coast. While you're at the beach, Lagerhead's is a good dive bar.

hard to give advice , tho, since i know zero about you.

There is tons of good food in Wilmington, but not all those places have a romantic atmosphere. Riverboat Landing is supposed to be a romantic place to eat, especially on one of those private balconies; I've never been there, though. Same with Circa 1922 and Crow Hill.. if I was looking for atmosphere downtown that would be where I'd go.

The Riverboat cruises are nice too! If you like seafood while looking at the beautiful ocean,Oceanic is a great choice.
