I was driving today out on 74 and noticed a random, abandoned ferris wheel out near Acme. I was just wondering how it came to be there. It seems so out of place.

Could it be at a scrap yard? There's certainly enough metal in a ferris wheel to make it worth dismantling.

BTW, I had to look up Acme on the map, and it's near Riegelwood, the same area where the "Swamp Loggers" on the History Channel operate. Coincidence?

I wonder if it's the old Atlantic Beach ferris wheel, from "The Circle"

They are filming the new NBC show 'Revolution' in the Wilmington area. Did it look like this ferris wheel as seen in the trailer? (Go to the 1:51 mark)

I don't think so. Plus, I think they filmed the pilot somewhere else. Thanks though!
