I'm going to be staying in Oak Island for a few days with relatives. On a Sunday, my wife and I plan on meeting her uncle - who is in Burgaw - for breakfast or brunch. We're thinking Wilmington would be a good place to meet up. I don't want a national chain. I can eat in those anywhere. I'd something unique to the area/Wilmington. One place that caught my eye is called The Goody Goody Omelet House, but I fear it might be too small. Anyone familiar with that place? Do they have a way of seating a party of five full-size adults?

How 'bout other places? Anyone have a favorite they'd like to recommend?

Goody Goody is my favorite. It is small and sometimes you have to wait, but I think it's definitely worth it. I've never had a better omelet. For lunch, I'd suggest Double Happiness. It's a sit down Chinese restaurant. They can definitely accommodate a group and the food is fantastic.

Another lunch place, Cape Fear Seafood. It's further away, out in Monkey Junction, but very good.
