My husband just accepted a medical residency position at PCMH and we'll be moving to Greenville in June from Brooklyn, NY. (Huge change, I know...) We have a one-year-old son and another baby on the way so we're looking for a safe, quiet apartment complex. (We're just not quite ready to buy a house yet!)

We'd like to be close to PCMH, but it seems like everything around there is high-crime. Is this correct? Anyone have any recommendations for where to look for apartments or homes to rent? I've looked at the following places online: Meridian Park, Waterford Reserve, Signature Place, Treybrooke, and a few others.

We are also considering Winterville, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Congrats on the match. You might want to look into renting a small house. Many residents live in Cobblestone so you could look at that too (plus you will have a yard). If your husband matched in a longer specialty like surgery, you could buy a townhome and pay about the same. If it's shorter like internal medicine, then renting is the way to go.
