We are looking for a beachfront home for rent (probably the last week of September or first week of October) that will accept dogs. We have 3 (two 40 pounds, one 25 pounds). We are absolutely willing to put a deposit down, although our dogs are completely house-broken. If you know of anyone or any realty company who could help us find a property for rent, please e-mail me at: SliceOL@aol.com. Thank you!

There is different reality companies for mainland of OBX and Hatteras Island.

Google search the town and realty companies will come up. Many will have a check box of amenities you desire. Many will have a box for pets accepted, or disclosure on listing stating their policy of that rental.

Yeah, you don't need to post here. You need to call realty companies. Where do you want to stay? Northern Outer Banks? Hatteras Island? Ocracoke Island?

Hatteras Realty is a good company on Hatteras Island.

There are quite a few that accept pets, they may not be beach-front but maybe across the street from the beach or on one of the side streets, all are just a short walk to the beach. I seem to remember a $200 pet fee but it's well worth it when your dog/s are w/ you and you dont have to pay to board them. We brought along an exercise pen (ex-pen) to put them in w/ their dog beds when we went out just to be on the safe side and it always worked out well, a baby gate or 2 or crate would work too. I think they enjoyed it as much as we did. There's also several vets in the area and one of the pet supply stores has a 'yappy hour' once a week (I think it was in Duck, not far away), I hope we can go again soon but it probably wont be this year due to other plans etc.
